Suggestions Welcome

I have enough to make one more batch and I'm thinking I'd like to make an oatmeal.....something but I'm not sure what that something should be. Any suggestions?

Rosemary & Lemon Soap

The technique I used for this one was fun.  First I made the Rosemary Soap (you can see the speckles in them) then I embedded it into the Lemon Soap.  The next time I think I going to make the Rosemary soap with clear soap so you can see the actual rosemary better.

Tangerine & Wintergreen Soap

The first thing that popped into my head when i thought of tangerine to go with was mint, but I didn't have any on hand. So instead I used my Wintergreen Essential Oil, and think that the two complement each other fabulously. Also FYI the Tangerine Essential Oil worked great for helping me with the dizzy spells I would get in the first trimester of pregnancy, & wintergreen is great for muscle aches. *The information in this post does not replace medical advice. Lemongrass Soap

Lemongrass was next on my list to make.  I decided to use a different mold to give it a more unique shape.

Chocolate Latte Soap

With this batch I wanted to try a variation on the swirled effect I used for the milk and honey soap.  I ended up layering the goats milk and chocolate goats milk.  Yes I said chocolate!  It is literally cocoa that gives this soap it's great brown color.

Lavender & Rose Soap

My girlfriend gave me some flowers for watching her son at the last minute.  So i dried the petals and put them in my herb grinder.  I read that they don't hold their color in soap and will turn shades of tan/brown.  Nonetheless i decided to give it a try.  Did you know that red rose petals turn BRIGHT BLUE when added to soap?!?!  And a day or two later the soap changed to a nice shade of tan, as you see in the shell mold.  The rose also added a nice speckled effect.  In my loaf mold I really wanted a nice purple, and  I ended up adding a purple mica to help with the coloring.  If your not familur with it, a mica is a mineral, and is mostly used to help color makeup, so it is safe for your skin. This batch came out smelling wonderful.

Getting Started

I've started a new adventure in life....Handcrafting Soap.
Additionally I thought that blogging about it would help me to share my creativity and also get some input on what type of soap is appealing to all of you.
The first soap I made is a Goats Milk Soap with Honey, so i called it Milk & Honey.  Real creative I know. Nonetheless i think it came out good for my first attempt
